Bernie Sanders was not taken seriously when he announced his bid for presidency last April. Almost a year later, and the Vermont senator is giving Hillary a run for her money. When the Iowa Caucus concluded, the former First Lady was just a few decimal points above Sanders. When the results of the New Hampshire Primary came in, Sanders won by a significant margin.
This guy might actually be the next president of the United States.
And he’s getting major support from prominent figures all over the country. Comedian Will Ferrel has pledged his support for the 74-year-old Democratic presidential candidate, according to Variety, as well as Sarah Silverman and Danny Devito. Danny Glover, Lethal Weapon actor and prominent activist, has also expressed his support for Sanders.

But one endorsement trumps them all, and it’s coming from a lonely corner in Staten Island. Erica Garner, the daughter of Eric B. Garner, whose police-related death incited nationwide protests demanding for just treatment of African Americans, is supporting Bernie Sanders.

To show her support for Bernie, Erica participated in a powerful ad which can be seen above.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, Erica wrote on her website that “[t]he Senator didn’t reach out to me all of a sudden because he needs help with Black people,” and that she had full control over her ad.
“The Sanders team allowed me and my team full creative control of this video so this message is 100% my message and my views!”
